Header, Title Bar, Sidebar, and Footer options #
For single post pages, you can apply all options described for regular pages.
Post Formats #
A Post Format is used by the theme to differ the appearance of a single post for better usability. You can set (or change) the needed format when adding a new post (or editing the existing one). Impreza includes the following post formats by default (since version 2.8):
Standard format #
This is a default post format in WordPress.
Video format #
It used to display a live video instead of a featured image as a post preview. Post with "Video" format uses the first found video link (or embed) in the post content. Check this table for videos from what sites you can use. To add a video to post, place its URL into the content if it doesn't appear, wrap the URL with [embed] shortcode.
Turn ON the "Show media preview for posts with video, audio, and gallery format" to enable media preview in the Post Image element
Note: only Classic and Masonry blog layouts will display the live video for posts with "Video" format. All other layouts will display the featured image (if it set) and the "play" icon on it. So we recommend adding a Featured Image for every post in the "Video" format.
Gallery format #
It used to display an image slider instead of the featured image as post preview. Post with "Gallery" format uses the first found element in the post content including:
- Image Slider VC element — [us_image_slider]
- Image Gallery VC element — [us_gallery]
- Default WordPress Gallery — [gallery]
Note: only Classic, Masonry, and Cards predefined layouts will display the slider for posts with "Gallery" format. All other layouts will display the first image from the slider/gallery. So there is no need to add Featured Image to a post in "Gallery" format.
Audio format #
It used to display live audio instead of the featured image as post preview. Post with "Audio" format is equivalent to video format for audio links (or embeds). Check this table for music from what sites you can use.
Note: only Classic and Masonry blog layouts will display the live audio for posts with the "Audio" format. All other layouts will display the featured image (if it set). So we recommend adding a Featured Image for every post with the "Audio" format.
Link format #
It used for external links. Post with "Link" format uses the first found link (URL) in the post content and inserts it to the title of a relevant post in any blog layout.
Posts with "Link" format has a specific appearance in a Grid:
- Post Title has an "external link" icon to differ from other posts
- The post doesn't display Post Comments and Post Content
Custom appearance in Grid #
Post Excerpt #
The excerpt is an optional hand-crafted summary of your content that can be used in Grid items.
Create a new post or edit an existing one, then click on the "Screen Options" button on the top right corner and check the "Excerpt" box:
It will show a text field below the post content area. You can use Excerpt content inside the "Post Content" element when editing a Grid Layout.
